As, mostly, have I.
Not pictured: a Volvo that was somewhere else at the time.

Strange question but are you selling your 4Runner? I thought I saw a comment that you are but it could’ve been someone else

Yeah, eventually. Are you in the market? I am unhurriedly planning to replace it with something quite similar but in a slightly different configuration that I would plan to keep long term —newer 4Runner, low-mileage 100-series Land Cruiser, something like that . It’s in very good condition and I like it a lot—it’ s just not easy to find the right replacement and I keep not having or making time to go see good candidates.

The white redaction means wife's car, the black redaction means husband's car.

I’ll be looking for a new (to me) car and I’ve always liked the 03-09 4Runner, especially with the V8. My budget is whatever insurance gives me, not really sure yet but hoping around $5k. I don’t know mileage, condition, etc with yours so if you feel that yours is worth more no worries.

Where did you end up?

They definitely go for more than that around here in decent shape (although not necessarily a ton more with high mileage), but I’ll certainly let you and the rest of oppo know when I’m ready to sell it! They’re great. I believe 2005 is kind of the sweet spot price-wise for the V8 because you get the mid cycle mechanical upgrades but not the cosmetic/convenience stuff , which came in 2006, and some people pay a premium for the cosmetic refresh.

A quiet part of North Seattle. Didn’t move all that far.

I’m curious, what miles does it have on it?

Very cool. Congrats!

196,000 and the cleanest service history you’ll ever see.

Thanks! Moved to gain a garage and a view, but this here is a car blog so I have focused on the garage . I will, however, post a lighting and shower survey soon for the benefit of a certain space crab/ chandelier fetishist.

I’d say that’s fairly average for a 4Runner, nothing that high. For the V8 that’s just getting broken in.

Yeah pretty average for the age. Would be for the v6 too. Plenty of good miles left.
